After the USA, Tesla updates its V2 Superchargers in Europe. The brand had promised the arrival of an even faster charge on its network of Superchargers in 2019. This progression is done in two stages: the passage of 120 to 150 kW for its terminals at first and then the arrival of Superchargers V3 able to offer a complete charge in 15 minutes.

Tesla: Superchargers go up to 150 kW in France

Tesla confirmed that the deployment of the European Supercharger update started on Wednesday, August 28th, from 120 to 150kW. Added to the pre-conditioning feature of the battery deployed on the fleet of the manufacturer a few months ago, this update allows owners of a Tesla to recharge their vehicle even faster. The brand does not quantify the time savings induced by these changes.

However, she explains that a recharging session on her Superchargers lasts an average of 15 to 30 minutes and that customers will benefit from a greater autonomy for the same downtime. Some French resorts already have their terminals updated, including those Bayonne, Nancy, Marne-la-Vallée or Tour. The update is progressive and will be performed in all French stations in the coming weeks.
