St-Hubert brand chicken nuggets are being recalled as they could be contaminated with bone fragments, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) warns Friday.
The affected products were sold in Ontario and Quebec in the 680 g format. They all carry the UPC "0 66701 00504 1" and are identified by one of the following codes:
B29084 12 39J
B29084 13 39J
B29084 14 39J
B29084 15 39J
B29084 24 39J
"Check if you have the recalled product at home," says CFIA. If so, discard it or return it to the store where it was purchased. "
An investigation into this situation has been opened, which could "result in the recall of other products," warns the agency.
For the moment, no case of injury associated with the consumption of these breaded cutlets in the form of animals has been reported.
