Two armed suspects driving two separate vehicles opened fire on Saturday, August 31, against about 20 people in the cities of Midland and Odessa (West Texas) reported the media and police.
The mayor of Midland, quoted by the local press, said two people were killed. At least three police officers were injured. According to CBS affiliate CBS 7, one of the alleged shooters was arrested in an Odessa cinema.
The other was crossing the city in a postal service vehicle that he had previously stolen, randomly firing at passers-by.
"At the moment there are several victims by bullets"wrote the Odessa police on Facebook, but gave no precise assessment. According to a spokesman of the city hall, quoted by CNN, there is at least one dead and ten wounded.
The authorities are asking people in the area to stay at home.
