Correa, Hubert and Sato were involved in a big crash at the top of Raidillon.
Formula 2 Race 1 had a scary ending. As the competitors started their second lap on the Spa-Francorchamps track, the young Frenchman Anthoine Hubert, supported by Renault, went to hit the tire wall at the top of the Raidillon. The American José Manuel Correa (in photo) could not avoid the crazy car of Hubert returning on the track, this one being cut in two under the violence of the impact. The Japanese Marino Sato was involved in the accident.

If Sato was able to go out and walk back to the paddock, we are more worried about Correa and Hubert. The official record did not show any image of the pilots, which we do not know if they are safe and sound. The race was stopped immediately under red flag. The race management decided not to restart the race, the results being canceled.

According to Fox Sports reporter Juan Fossaroli, driver Juan Manuel Correa was rushed to the hospital. The French car driver Anthoine Hubert, 22, has died.
