With less than three days from the closing of the transfer window, OM still hopes to complete the arrival of Valentin Rongier, the midfielder of FC Nantes, but the proposal made is below the expectations of Waldemar Kita.
Followed for several months by the Marseille club, Rongier is decided to leave his training club to join the OM, and is not in the Nantes group for the match against Montpellier this Saturday. His future seems however linked to that of Luiz Gustavo, on the departure and followed by Fenerbahce and Monaco, which would free a place in the middle of the field and would bring back especially some precious millions of euros to this period.
Limited in financial terms and monitored by financial fair play, OM was indeed denied its offer by Nantes for its mid-24. According to information from The Team, the leaders of Marseille have proposed 11 million euros, payable in three installments, and two additional payments of 500,000 euros in 2020 and 2021. An offer does not meet the expectations of Waldemar Kita, who wants 20M € for his player, always according to the sports daily.
If the OM will have a hard time proposing this sum, the negotiations could intensify in the coming hours so that both parties can reach an agreement.
