According to a statement from the SIB, this distinction "reflects the recognition of the Ivorian Nation and welcomes the commitment of the SIB for the consolidation of a social environment conducive to the development of the country through the notable acts of the bank in the service of the community, especially during the regrettable floods that hit the populations in 2018, at the national level and more particularly the commune of Cocody in Abidjan ".

Speaking on this occasion, the DG of the SIB expressed gratitude to the President of Côte d'Ivoire for this mark of recognition, reaffirming the "readiness" to act whenever necessary, "in the name of the traditional African solidarity included in the foundations of our education ".
