Morocco won the silver medal in the women's team tennis competition, played Saturday at the Rabat Railway Club, as part of the 12th African Games.
Composed of Sara Akid, Rita Atik, Rania Azziz and Salma Ziouti, the Moroccan team won the medal after losing in the final to Egypt on the score of two sets to zero (3-6, 2-6, 0 -6, 0-6).
The Moroccan team qualified for the final after their victory against Nigeria (2-0), while Egypt reached the final by taking the best of Kenya (2-0).
Placed under the High Patronage of HM King Mohammed VI, the 12th edition of the All Africa Games will take place from August 19 to 31 in the cities of Rabat, Salé, Temara, Casablanca, Benslimane and El Jadida, with the participation of nearly 6,500 athletes. .
