All of these elements lead to the fixing of the following maximum prices, from September 1, 2019 to zero hours:
– Premium unleaded fuel: € 1.49 / L or -5 cts / L compared to August 2019 (€ 1.54 / L).
– Road diesel: € 1.29 / L or -3 cts / L compared to August 2019 (€ 1.32 / L).
– Liquefied petroleum gas bottle of 12.5 kg: 18.34 € or -26 cents compared to August 2019 (18.60 €).
The monthly revision of petroleum product prices is based on price movements and the euro / dollar exchange rate observed the previous month for the first 15 listings. In August 2019, these developments were characterized by:
• a decline in the average price of Brent crude oil from $ 64.56 per barrel to $ 58.80, or -8.9%, in a context of increasing tension in the Middle East and a 'Mondial economy ;
• a drop in gasoline (-6.5%) and diesel (-4.3%) prices, linked to a decrease in demand;
• a drop in the average price of butane (-6%) due to imports and stock levels that remain high;
• a very slight drop in the euro / dollar exchange rate (-0.9%). One euro is worth 1,1148 dollar in September against 1,1255 dollar in August.
