"He got in the car, he had a good feeling, gave a good feedback, consistent with that of Max, and I think he had a good first day" launched Horner. "I have not seen all the tests but it is a few tenths, which is encouraging for a first drive."
"They did different programs this afternoon and he did a day in the simulator and two sessions in the car, he said there were a lot of differences with the Toro Rosso to adapt to. "He's brilliant, smart, and asks the right questions, it's a positive first day."
Horner also confirms that the change of driver gave a new dynamic in the garage after the last difficult races with Pierre Gasly: "It has motivated everyone on his side of the garage."
More generally, Albon will play nine races with the team, the first of which he will play from the back of the grid due to a change of engine, and Horner sets him goals more or less similar to those expected of Gasly in beginning of season.
"The car is capable of podiums, so it must be our goal to aim for the podium, we want to see progress in these nine races, we will see where we are in Abu Dhabi and we will know more."
