Already targeted last summer, the striker Fluminense Pedro is back in the sights of the Girondins. The deal looks complicated, however.
The file is considered complex. While the Girondins should register two signatures this Friday – that of Monegasque Youssouf Ait Bennasser in the form of a loan with an option to buy, but also that of the Algerian left-wing Aïssa Boudechicha to strengthen the reserve – the Bordeaux leaders hope to achieve a last big shot in the last straight of the transfer window.
The transfer window live
As indicated by 20 minutes, they reactivated a track already studied last summer, the one leading to Fluminense striker Pedro. Tracked a time by Olympique Lyonnais, the 22-year-old is now considered the priority to strengthen the offensive sector of the Girondins. His agent is in Bordeaux since Tuesday to try to move this issue in the right direction.
For the moment, no offer has yet been sent to Fluminense, but it seems that the leaders of Bordeaux would prefer a transfer rather than a loan. Given its value (estimated at 18 million euros according to the specialized website Transfermarkt), Bordeaux will have to make a real financial effort if it wants to succeed in closing this file. His interest in Pedro is in any case an evolution in relation to the profile he initially targeted. Until then, it was more a question of recruiting a wingman rather than a real number nine.
