F2: Spa race 1 stopped after an accident – Auto – F2


An impressive accident occurred in the second lap of race 1 of the F2 weekend at Spa, in the Raidillon de l'Eau Rouge. Four drivers were involved: Giuliano Alesi, Hubert Anthoine, Juan Manuel Correa and Marino Sato. Faced with the violence of the accident and the condition of the cars, the race management decided to release the red flag, before stopping the race.

Alesi first lost control of his car in the climb, spun, before being hit by Hubert. The French Arden hit the tire wall on the right of the track and bounced. Correa came in at full speed, and under the violence of shock, the car of the French was cut in half, while that of the American returned. No news of the pilots has been given yet.
