Evenepoel on his 96 km solo: "A good day of training"

Remco Evenepoel once again talked about him. The prodigy of Schepdael was illustrated with a solo raid of nearly 100 kilometers during the second leg of the Tour of Germany.

Carried off by his offensive temperament, Deceuninck-Quick Step's 19-year-old Cub left the pack. Afterwards, he tells it on his Instagram account. "I attacked with the intention of taking a few runners and hoping to go to the end. In the end, I had to go alone. 100 km solo. I was picked up 9 km from the finish".

"The day was not easy, the course was very demanding. I was thinking of victory but I was caught up in the last climb. I could not ride anymore and was dropped directly. In the end, it was a good day of training", added the European time trial champion at the event site, for the record, Remco finished 43rd at 2'14".Alexander Kristoff the winner of the stage.

If he missed a few bounds to achieve a new phenomenal blow, Evenepoel is still on the podium since he was named combative of the day.

Koen Pelgrim, his coach, praised the performance with humor on Twitter. "When Remco Evenepoel takes his time trial training a little too seriously"he wrote.
