The activity is organized by Alpha Veterans. The visit of kiosks and a conference are on the program. A similar show was held in early August in Quebec City.
Expected exhibitors include organizations such as Team Rubicon, the Quebec Veterans Foundation, Veterans Transition Network, Steel Pot Coffee, the Veterans Social Club Canada, as well as companies such as Consult & Grow from the cannabis industry, financial advisors, mental health specialists, employers like commissionaires or Garda.
"It's more than 30% of our Canadian veterans who have difficulty adjusting to life in society with 29% suffering from chronic pain and 14% from PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder). Few actions are taken to give them another chance to find a healthy and balanced life or even go back to work ", argues Jean-Denis Quirion for the company Alpha Veterans.
In the beginning, the company set up information activities on medical cannabis. Recognizing that the problems of veterans were much more diverse, the decision was made to form the company that organizes salons, inviting therapists, sponsoring organizations, social clubs, employers to allow veterans to know the different services available.
