Break-ins at Sainte-Foy: an alleged robber in series arrested

A 41-year-old man was arrested by police officers in Quebec City on Thursday night, in connection with a series of robberies in condominiums, particularly in the Sainte-Foy borough.

The forty-year-old, apprehended for break and enter, was linked to "several different files" that were brought to the attention of the police officers of Quebec City and Lévis during the last two months.

According to the Quebec City Police Service (SPVQ), the individual targeted mainly condominiums located in Sainte-Foy, in addition to venturing elsewhere in the city.

The suspect allegedly stole several items, including high-performance bicycles. The combined value of petty theft would be tens of thousands of dollars.

The police forces of Quebec City and Lévis are pursuing a joint investigation that could resolve other cases.

The man was questioned after his arrest yesterday, and is scheduled to appear today at the Quebec City courthouse.
