Sporting Anderlecht quickly looked for a new central defender after the injury of Vincent Kompany given the few alternatives on the bench. And it seems that the Mauves have found their happiness in the Netherlands.
Derrick Luckassen is expected to join Anderlecht in the coming hours, as reported by the Dutch press. The PSV defender should be on loan until the end of the season and Anderlecht would also have an option to buy.
Purchased 5 million euros at the AZ in 2017, the 24-year-old had gone on loan last season on the side of Hetha Berlin where he had played only four games before being injured. He played two games with PSV this season, it was during the second qualifying round of Champions League against Basel.
Elias Cobbaut and Philippe Sandler will compose the central hinge against Standard Sunday. There are currently no other solutions.
